Doctor Who fan edits don't quite skew that way, instead preferring to cackhandedly chop out anything that rubs uneasily against the editor's mouthbreathing sensibilities. For example, one might:
* remove the volcano scene at the start of Dark Water because Clara's too mean.
* Or one might remove the entire 'hold your breath' device from Deep Breath, under the belief that it was all a cynical ploy of Moffat's to force in a lesbian lip lock. (In other news, jet fuel can't melt steel beams.)
* These may also be accompanied by huge walls of text for descriptions, talking about how Gareth Roberts has a leftie gay agenda, or
* How The Daleks is bad for comparing the Daleks to Nazis.
* You might even go so far as to get rid of all references to Bill being gay in The Pilot, despi

* You might even go so far as to get rid of all references to Bill being gay in The Pilot, despite it being... you know... an important plot point. Imagine being so triggered by gay people existing that you literally have to cover your ears and pretend it's not in the show. I'm not making this up. Note that in the aforementioned Closing Time article, he refers to Gareth Roberts having a "partner" (quote marks included), as if it's not a real relationship. And apparently he thinks the episode is 'promoting' homosexuality, as if it's not a thing that should already be expected as normal in current year. The results are invariably unwatchable, but the accompanying long-winded explanations always offer a fascinating insight into a unique mind. /who/ can be expected to start doing its own fan edits any day now.
