Conditions were surprisingly stable on March 31, 2018 over North and South Carolina, but still favorable enough for weak severe thunderstorms to develop causing a Marginal Risk with a 5% chance of wind and a 2% chance of tornadoes...nothing happened causing the SPC to remove the thunderstorm risk, when a isolated tornadic supercell developed over the western Raleigh resulting in a SPS "Possible weak tornadoes this evening across Raleigh...A weak supercell has caused several funnel cloud sightings in Northwestern Raleigh within the past 5 minutes, prepare to take cover in the event of a tornado..."
