The Candleflame spell creates a tiny, brightly-burning flame, springing from the caster's fingertip. The flame burns for as long as the caster desires, requiring an upkeep of 1 MP per turn. Besides MP, the flame also requires, in an amount equivalent to a naturally-produced candle flame, oxygen to burn, so moving it into an area where there is insufficient oxygen, or changing ones gesture in such a way that the point of origin of the flame is deprived of oxygen (for example, by clenching the hand to a fist) will extinguish it. Although the flame does not harm its caster at the point of its origin, the candle deals 1 point of fire damage on contact and can set flammable things on fire as any other fire can.
