The Parish is the smallest administrative unit in Cildania, the entire country is subdivided into approximately 18,000 parishes, however in urban areas they rarely have their own councils and mayors, that tends to only happen in rural areas where a parish covers one village. Population is generally between 1,000 and 8,000 but there is no legal minimum or maximum requirement. The Parish should not be confused with the popular assembly areas in the Confederation of Autonomous Communities these ignore parish boundries and often sub divide and overlap them.

| - The Parish is the smallest administrative unit in Cildania, the entire country is subdivided into approximately 18,000 parishes, however in urban areas they rarely have their own councils and mayors, that tends to only happen in rural areas where a parish covers one village. Population is generally between 1,000 and 8,000 but there is no legal minimum or maximum requirement. Those parishes that do have their own councils generally have between five and fifteen councillors (elected annually) and have control over street lighting and cctv, benches, litter bins and other low level but essential services. The Parish should not be confused with the popular assembly areas in the Confederation of Autonomous Communities these ignore parish boundries and often sub divide and overlap them.
