In 6 BBY, when an investigator began searching for the the traitor, Dinvar attempted to frame the treason on Vidkun and Solari, two Imperial officers. However, a blunder on Dinvar's part gave away that he in fact was the traitor. Attempting to escape, he was killed in a firefight with guards. Without the information he provided the resistance, it was soon routed by Imperial forces.
