| - If you haven't changed the key to do so, the Game Menu for Garry's Mod is invoked by pressing and holding down the Q key. You exit the Game Menu by releasing the Q key. There are 5 tabs on the left side of the screen, and 4 tabs on the right side. These are as follows: On the Left side: Props — NPCs — Weapons — Vehicles — Entities On the Right side: Tools — Post Processing — Utilities — Options You can add any models by simply clicking. You can only add models (with the exception of Add-ons) that you have from any supported games that use the Source engine. You can view the list from the link.
- The game menu is only accessible outside of combat, and is where you manage your characters. The left side of the screen will show statistics for the currently selected character, while the right side will show the character's currently equipped gear, with the character model in the centre. Below is a row of icons representing the functions available to the player, such as viewing inventory items, changing equipment, assigning skill points, changing game options, etc.

You may still cycle through the characters currently in the party, although when exiting the game menu, you will be returned to the character under control when you originally brought the menu up.
