| - The warlord Xim the Despot had inherited the Cronese Sweeps within the Kingdom of Cron from his ruthless pirate father around 25,130 BBY. Following in his father's footsteps, Xim invaded and conquered large areas of the neighboring space with his armies, and fleets which were equipped with the most advanced technology available at the time including beam tubes, kiirium, mytag crystals, and war droids. He controlled his conquests through his dreaded secret police, the GenoHaradan, and the use of terror tactics such as mass executions. During the first ten years of Xim's reign, often termed his Expansionary Period, he conquered most of the Tion Cluster, including the Livien League, which contained the world of Desevro. The Empire of Xim eventually stretched from the Radama Void to the Maw, and numbered in thousands of world. Conflict over criminal interests, and competing ambitions in the Si'Klaata Cluster brought the Empire of Xim into conflict with the Huttese Empire which now bordered his conquests. In 25,105 BBY, the Empire of Xim assaulted Toydaria, and declared war on the Huttese Empire. Thus began the Hutt-Xim War, which would go on to last five years, and bring such galactic powers as the Taung Confederacy, the Rodian Monarchy, and the Xiled Syndicate into play. The results of the war were devastating. Xim the despot was killed, but the Empire continued to fight under Xim's son Crion the Despot, who forming his army from the survivors of the Hutt-Xim War waged a guerilla war until the Hutts placated him by allowing him to rule the Kingdom of Cron.
