  • Fritz Jahn → German. Friedrich Timotheus Gustav "Fritz" Jahn (born January 24, 1863 in Züllchow, Pomerania; † 1931 in Züllchow), Lutheran minister, director of the Züllchower Anstalt (an orphanage), and a collector of board games. Fritz Jahn was the son of Gustav Wilhelm Jahn and his second wife, Dorothea von Dieskau. He became the leader of the Züllchower Anstalt at age 25 and led the institution for 30 years. Jahn is known as the "game pastor" because he collected games, published game books, produced games in his orphanage and used them to educate difficult children and young adults. He popularized Domino, Cribbage and the Bohnenspiel in Germany.
