Matt Busby (26 May 1909 - 20 January 1994) was a former Scottish footballer and manager most notorious for managing Manchester United between 1946 and 1969 and he later returned for half of the 70/71 season. His lengthy time at Man United has been surpassed by only Alex Ferguson. During Matt's playing career he player for two of Man United's biggest rivals - Liverpool and Man City - and also had a short spell at Hibernian scoring a total 14 goals in 319 appearances. Matt also managed the Great British side at the 1948 Olympics, losing 3-1 in the semi-finals to Yugoslavia
