Crayon Shin-chan(クレヨンしんちゃんKureyon Shin-chan, also known as Shin-chan) is a Japanese manga and anime series written by Yoshito Usui. Crayon Shin-chan follows the adventures of five-year-old Shinnosuke "Shin" Nohara and his parents, neighbors, and friends and is set in Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Due to the death of author Usui, the manga in its current form ended on February 5, 2010, as announced in a broadcast of the anime on October 16, 2009. On December 1, 2009, it was announced that a new manga would be published in the summer of 2010 by members of Usui's team.
