It is speculated by many fans that Tara was actually adopted by Ginia, due to the fact that Tara was not included in The Sims: Unleashed. If The Sims 2 standards are retrofitted to The Sims, Ginia would be too old to become pregnant, but could have adopted Tara as a child. She could also be Ginia's niece or other distant relative, as her bio implies she is biologically related to the Kat family. Tara uses the 2nd Maxis face template in Create a Sim except for the slightly customized nose and jaw. When she grows into an elder, her face shape will not change, which is unusual given that most other Sims that use the 2nd face template will have slightly different facial features when they become elders (e.g. larger noses, more prominent under-necks, smaller mouths etc.). This is what the broken face templates (minus the customized nose and chin) will look like on Sims once they became elders.
