Like most cheaper units, she can be easily killed by the Metal Slug Attack or Super Metal Slug Attack.

abstract	Leona is a melee-based unit in Metal Slug Attack, adapted from her appearance in Metal Slug Defense. She primarily attacks by slashing enemies with her knife in close-quarters, and can outright block enemy attacks with her special, the Moon Slasher. She's currently available via the POW Shop and as a special login bonus after several days without playing. She differs from her older incarnation in some aspects - her AP cost and health have been increased, and any attack which would knock her back is instead automatically countered with the Moon Slasher. Additionally, unlocking her fourth skill adds an evading dash to her special, which can cover the best part of a screen-width and frees any POWs she happens to run through. One-on-one against Leona, very few non-boss units stand a chance - though the Mini Caterpillar is quite effective (as it is against many other units). She cannot evade its stunning maggots unless they're still in the air, and nor can she attack them without manual activation of her special. However, she isn't much effective like her Cat-Ears counterpart against heavy attacks. Like most cheaper units, she can be easily killed by the Metal Slug Attack or Super Metal Slug Attack. When she's placed in the same deck as Ralf and Clark they form the "Wrath" team, increasing their HP by 10%.
