  • The Nuclear Bomb is a powerup in Carmageddon: TDR 2000 that drops a nuclear bomb on the level. Actually, the bomb is dropped on top of the car. The player must move (ideally backwards) to let the bomb slide and fall on the ground. Otherwise, the explosion will occur on top of the car, and that's not desirable. The fuse goes down, and after ~7 seconds, the nuclear bomb creates a massive explosion with brutal strength and a huge radius. This explosion is more than enough to waste the player, or any opponent unlucky enough to pass by at the time. Even at a long distance, a vehicle can still suffer considerable damage. Any pedestrian that was near the explosion will also get instantly killed, but unfortunately, the kills aren't accounted for the player.
  • Nuclear bombs were powerful explosives capable of ruining neighborhoods or cities and left residual radiation after their detonation.
  • A Nuclear Bomb is one of the most famous elements of The Demented Cartoon Movie. It is a Bomb, but it is not round. It mostly has a "H" on it.
  • Nuclear bomb is a bomb that is mentioned in 24 Minutes. It went off in Shelbyville.
  • The Nuclear Bomb is a rare and powerful superweapon that has first appeared in Worms: The Directors Cut.
  • A nuclear bomb is a nuclear weapon and is a very powerful weapon too.
  • The Nuclear Bomb, or Neutron Bomb, was a weapon of mass destruction in The Dark Knight Rises. It began as a Wayne Enterprises fusion reactor meant to supply Gotham City with a source of clean energy. The reactor was turned into a neutron bomb as part of Talia al Ghul (Miranda Tate) and the League of Shadows plan to hold the city hostage before destroying it. Bane and the League men kidnapped Dr. Leonid Pavel to have him turn the reactor into a bomb and it became a time bomb when the core was removed from the reactor. The remote trigger to detonate the bomb was in the possession of Talia and the League men drove the bomb around the city in armored trucks until their ultimate defeat by Batman.
  • A nuclear bomb is an explosive device that derives its destructive force from nuclear reactions, either fission or a combination of fission and fusion. Both reactions release vast quantities of energy from relatively small amounts of matter; a modern thermonuclear weapon weighing little more than a thousand kilograms can produce an explosion comparable to the detonation of more than a billion kilograms of conventional high explosive. Even small nuclear devices can devastate a city. Nuclear weapons are considered weapons of mass destruction, and their use and control has been a major aspect of international policy since their debut.
  • A nuclear bomb appeared once in Sonic the Comic, as part of the Shining Force universe. Having discovered the weapon in an archaeological dig underneath Ribble, a group of Zeonites planned to detonate the ancient tool and blow open the portal that trapped Zeon in the abyss. Only robot Zynk was aware that this device would destroy the entire Ancient Tower and even half of Granseal Island. Bowie used his sword to open the portal and the whole team pushed the bomb into the abyss before closing the gate. Even from inside the abyss, the exploding bomb's blast forced his way into the tower; this knocked everyone to the ground but no lasting radiation effects were noted.
  • A nuclear bomb costs 12,000 gold pieces and weighs 120 stones. It is titled "a very dangerous bomb" before identification and is precious. It can be purchased from Noel in Derphy after accepting the Red Blossom in Palmia quest.
  • A nuclear weapon is an explosive device that derives its destructive force from nuclear reactions, either fission or a combination of fission and fusion. Both reactions release vast quantities of energy from relatively small amounts of matter. The first fission ("atomic") bomb test released the same amount of energy as approximately 20,000 tons of TNT. The first thermonuclear ("hydrogen") bomb test released the same amount of energy as approximately 10,000,000 tons of TNT.

In the history of warfare, only two nuclear weapons have been detonated offensively, both near the end of World War II. The first was detonated on the morning of 6 August 1945, when the United States dropped a uranium gun-type device code-named "Little Boy" on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. The second was detonated three days later when the United States dropped a plutonium implosion-type device code-named "Fat Man" on the city of Nagasaki, Japan. These bombings resulted in the immediate deaths of around 120,000 people (mostly civilians) from injuries sustained from the explosion and acute radiation sickness, and even more deaths from long-term effects of ionizing radiation. The use of these weapons was and remains controversial. (See atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki for a full discussion.) Since the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, nuclear weapons have been detonated on over two thousand occasions for testing purposes and demonstration purposes. The only countries known to have detonated nuclear weapons—and that acknowledge possessing such weapons—are (chronologically) the United States, the Soviet Union (succeeded as a nuclear power by Russia), the United Kingdom, France, the People's Republic of China, India, Pakistan, and North Korea. Israel is also widely believed to possess nuclear weapons, though it does not acknowledge having them. (For more information on these states' nuclear programs, as well as other states that formerly possessed nuclear weapons or are suspected of seeking nuclear weapons, see list of states with nuclear weapons.)

Bowie used his sword to open the portal and the whole team pushed the bomb into the abyss before closing the gate. Even from inside the abyss, the exploding bomb's blast forced his way into the tower; this knocked everyone to the ground but no lasting radiation effects were noted. In the "Sonic" universe, Porker Lewis revealed that he was once tricked by Hammerhead into designing a nuclear bomb, having previously believed that he was helping to create a clean energy source. As soon as the pig realised Hammerhead's plans, Porker burned all of his research and fled to Mobius.
