Contest Carnage! is the second book in the Astrosaurs Academy series and focuses on the adventures of a pre-Astrosaurs Teggs and his friends Dutch and Blink as well as their friendly rivals Damona, Netta, and Splatt. The cover features Dutch and Blink challenging a malfunctioning robo-boxer. In Contest Carnage!, Mr. Edvill the barosaurus and his assistant Bomp are setting up a sports competition named the Megasaur Challenge on Astro Prime. However, things start going wrong and several contestants are injured and are taken to the hospital. Later, the same participants begin to act strangely as more and more suspicious "accidents" occur. Teggs and his friends wonder if someone is sabotaging the events for reasons of their own, but can he find out the truth before he is injured as well?
