Lawrence Dale Isbell (January 8, 1930 – October 31, 1978) was an American football quarterback at Baylor University. He was an All American in both football and baseball. He played minor league professional baseball for the Boston Red Sox and Brooklyn Dodgers organizations. Isbell played five years of professional football in the Canadian Football League as a defensive back. He is a member of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
