| - Also know as Local Camp, Roots Camp, Bar Camp and Foo Camp.
- Camps invariable [kamps] 1.
* nom de famille
- The game will also save automatically while visiting camps. In-game, camps are always marked with a campfire. There are two different types of camps: Day Camps and Fast Travel Camps. Day Camps are marked with a campfire icon on the map. Fast Travel Camps are marked on the map with a tent icon. After certain points in the story, visiting a camp will unlock Lara's Journals, which will be played as Lara's inner thoughts on previous events.
- A camp is a player-made structure where players can rest to regain health. Each area on the map can hold up to a certain number of camps (sometimes 0), that can then be built and defended by players. The number of camps that can be supported by an area is shown below the flavour text for the area. If 0 camps can be supported, the area will instead say "this location is not suitable for a camp". Because camps are a natural place for players to spend much of their time in between combat, some players set up shop or shitpost in camps. However, camps can be destroyed, rendering shops set up at destroyed camps near-useless.
- Re-introduced with chapter 5, camps are now craftable by Structures Traders. There are several types, each with a certain # of available numbers of equipable camp modules. Each camp is larger than the last and can equip 1 more module than the last, with the basic camp having 1 module and being tiny and the largest (the luxury camp) having room for 6 modules and taking up an area around that of a decent sized structure.
