He won the Jacques Plante Memorial Trophy in 2007-08. On March 22, 2008, Nadeau was involved in an infamous incident. In a game between the Remparts and the Sagueneens, the opposing goalie, Jonathan Roy (the son of coach Patrick Roy) launched an unprovoked attack on Nadeau. Despite Nadeau's indicating that he had no wish to fight, Jonathan Roy continued to beat up Nadeau. Jonathan was suspended for seven games and fined $500. Patrick, his father and coach, was suspended for five games and fined $4000 for encouraging Jonathan's attack. Nadeau was not drafted by an NHL team. He was invited to the Vancouver Canucks's camp in 2009 but that did not lead anywhere. He then joined Dalhousie University's team.
