Julia Scianti was the curator of the Scianti Museum of Art and member of the Scianti Crime Family which included father Albert Scianti, brother Joey, and cousin Sal Castelli. In 1989 Julia purchased from Metro-Dade Detective Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs a copy of a Kostabi painting, then sells it again at auction.
