Llian (Llian), also known as Llian of Chanthed, Llian the Zain and derogatorily as Llian the Liar, was a master chronicler and teller who wrote the twenty-third Great Tale; the Tale of the Mirror. A Zain of Jepperand by birth, Llian was sponsored by the Magister of Thurkad himself, Mendark, to learn the chroniclers trade at the College of the Histories, the first Zain to be admitted to the College in some time, due to common prejudices. Llian participated in many of the adventures surrounding the tale of the Mirror, during which he fell in love with Karan Fyrn, who he eventually married.
