Cthonic Magus robes are the same robes worn by the evil Wraith who dwell in the darkest depths of the Mileth Crypt. If a wizard wishes to obtain these robes, he will have to face horrifying visions in the Nightmare Quest. While the robes are unalterable, they are not bound to the Aisling as the Lich Robes are, and may be dropped, traded, sacrificed, and reacquired as needed. The Cthonic Magus robe is made of tattered brown cloth with a hooded leather coat worn over the shoulders. While it miraculously fits the typical Aisling wizard, many find it an uneasy garment to wear due to the smell that seems to consume the wearer; it is the smell of decay.
