Among her brothers was Cadmus who married Harmonia (daughter of Aphrodite and Ares) and father of Semele (Thyone) and therefore grandfather of Dionysus. Telephassa's father was Nilus (god of the river Nile). Her sister married Belus, son of Poseidon and brother of Agenor.

- In Greek mythology, Minos was the king of Crete, the father of Ariadne, and the son of Zeus. Minos was featured in The StoryTeller: Greek Myths episode "Daedalus and Icarus". King Minos comissioned Daedalus to construct the Labyrinth to house the monstrous Minotaur. Minos then cast Daedalus and his son Icarus into the Labyrinth. Daedalus managed to escape and flee Crete. King Minos pursued Daedalus and soon came to the court of Cocalus where Daedalus was hiding. Minos offered a reward to whoever could lead a thread through a spiral seashell - a task only Daedalus could solve.

Minos was a heavily forested planet that could support most lifeforms. After the disappearance of the Minosians, only plant and animal life remained. The planet model for Minos was first used to represent the planet Angel I in "Angel One" and would later be used to represent Theta VIII in "The Royale" and Legara IV in "Sarek" .

- Minos was a powerful tribe on K16 in World 9. It was a rival of Lots-M, and caused them a lot of problems. Led by Minoanviking, and with experienced leaders as his assistants, it grew to over 50 members and was beginning to rival Lots-M in strength. However, it was not meant to be. Lots-M had a spy in Minos, and he worked his way to the top. He was given the ability to disband the tribe, and he did. Though Minos was quickly reestablished, Lots-M had moved on the disorder quickly. They nobled tens of players in Minos. This caused many players to be destroyed and many to join other alliances thinking that they would be spared. When Minoanviking was nobled by BIRD, it was over. All of the most powerful players left.
