The Torpedo Advanced Light (TAL) is an advanced lightweight anti-submarine torpedo used by India.The Naval Science and Technological Laboratory, Visakhapatnam, which comes under the DRDO, has designed and developed the TAL. It can be launched from ships, helicopters and aircraft. Indian Navy has placed an order for 25 TAL's. The torpedo is fully designed and developed in India except a few integrated circuits and sensors. Manufacturing is done by state owned Bharat Dynamics Limited.
