Around one thousand years ago, Legenimor, the First King, lead the arrival of their kind from another world (perhaps the stars) and founded Daventry. Legenimor soon became the most powerful ruler the world had ever known, bringing both magic and civility to kingdom and surrounding lands. However, soon a terrible war broke out, the Grand War, and many people died. Legenimor blamed himself, and committed his power to the stars, becoming mortal in the process (and apparently taking the immortality from most his race with him).
