- Pit is the lead character in Kid Icarus, a vertical platform game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. In 2007, Pit got another appearance in the spotlight when he was announced as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Because of his Brawl appearance, Pit made the Summer 2007 Contest, but lost in the first round to Luigi and Mudkip. Thankfully, he managed to beat Tingle. Pit returned to action in the Summer 2008 Contest, although he and King Dedede lost to Zero and Ryu Hayabusa in the first round.

- As you all know, Pit is the main character in Kid Icarus. He recently joined the ranks of Super Smash Bros Brawl and is another welcome addition to the massive roster. With his double bladed bow, blazing blue arrows, Angel Ring, and Mirror Shield he truly is a force to be reckoned with in certain people's hands. He also is against a force to be reckoned with. - While outlining the Beast Wars cartoon, Bob Forward and Larry DiTillio created the made-up curse "By the Inferno" so the bad guys could swear. This was changed to "By the Pit" to avoid confusion when a Predacon named Inferno was added to the cast. Having made the Matrix dimension an analogue to Heaven, they made the Inferno/Pit their Hell.

- Pit is the main protagonist of the Kid Icarus series, and though he is an angel, he cannot fly by himself. He fights under the goddess of light Palutena and cares deeply for mankind. Apparently, though, he can't read. Pit has fought against many underworld enemies, including Medusa and Hades (though he needed special weapons to defeat them both). He is very persistent and is good with many weapons, including swords, clubs, staves, and even claws. However, his main weapon is the Bow of Paluntena, which he uses in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
