But it lost over 20 million of its own citizens in doing so (but less than in OTL because of Zhukov's coup d'etat, AKA the Red Guard revolution in propaganda circles). During this war, the Soviets Annex Finland, Poland and Moldova in that order. They were also the first nation to detonate a nuclear device in war, with Berlin being the recipient of this deadly weapon. This led to nuclear exchange, with Germany only being capable of sending one bomb back in retaliation. The USSR also fought a brief war with Japan as part of a lend-lease agreement in exchange for Pershing Tanks, Nuclear weapons components and P-51 fighters, the USSR would send soldiers to Japan and allow US soldiers to pass through Russia. Ever since its Victory in WWII, the Soviet Union has been one of the two Superpowers, that dominate the globe. The USSR is theoretically the stronger of the two, with all of Europe under its control. The USSR got the first man into space, and the First Man on the moon, in 1968. In 2001, the USSR, along with other Berlin Pact countries, began fighting a tough war against the Pan-Islamic Federation. After defeating the PIF, Soviet influence was extended throughout Asia and Africa through the newly created Tehran Pact
