Isanz Finer was an inhabitant of Port Caynn and a master silversmith. Although he was really old by 247 HE--at least in his seventies--he was still skilled at his work, doing fine designs like lace with silver wire. He was described as being tiny and has knobby hands with age, but had still very precise fingers. His eyes were "an amazing shade of green". He obviously had a liking for Goldenlake ale. He died in September of 247 HE because of an heart attack, when he was arrested for the false charges of counterfeiting. Isanz died on the way to Tradesmen's kennel.

  • Isanz Finer was an inhabitant of Port Caynn and a master silversmith. Master Finer was a friend of Clara Goodwin and a highly skilled silversmith. That's the reason why Goodwin and Rebakah Cooper turned to him when they wanted help in finding out where the false coins come from. Isanz actually found the origin of the silver used. The method to find this out seemed to be very exhausting as he needed to catch small differences in colours, but it was also very exact. Although he promised that he would have younger members of the family help him this task still caused his eyes to appear bloodshot and red-rimmed after he performed the task. Isanz had several children, among them his daughter Wenna Finer and one of his sons, who had taken Goodwin once out for dancing. By September of 247 HE said son had been married for ten years and had five children. Isanz also had several great-grandchildren, among them Meraud Finer, who was supposed to take his share of the business one day and therefore accompanied him nearly everywhere. Although a skilled smith he wasn't that amiable a person. Rebakah Cooper once described him as being crotchety. But even though he was stern, he was also "one of those ... right-thinking sorts", indicating he would never do anything against the law, at least not such a thing as counterfeiting. The Finer family was arrested because they were accused of producing false coin, although these charges are false. Isanz only appeared in Bloodhound.
