Gerald von Keither chaired the Foreign Ministry during the "Lodamun Quarantine Crisis" and was a vocal figure in Greater Hulstria's opposition to the quarantine. The Baron of Keither would step down from the Foreign Affairs Ministry in 2762. He would then retire to the Kiennese mountainside and pass on in 2768 from heart failure. His son, Jacob von Keither, would not decide to follow in his footsteps, and would instead pursue a career in business in the Hulstrian Eastern Territories. While married, Jacob did not have any children, and when he died the title of Baron of Keither went extinct.
