abstract
  • Champions of Vydor was a server vault persistent world action server with a high level of role-playing (for an action server), and it was a member of the Trusted Server Admin Society. It required both expansions (SoU and HotU) plus CEP). This was an action-heavy world. Roleplaying was encouraged, but not enforced. Good roleplay often resulted in an experience point bonus. The DM staff had decades of combined experience DMing pencil-and-paper. There were quests for every class and most alignments. There were custom subraces, lycanthropy, persistent addictions, player-run guilds, and player-owned housing. The server was taken down by the host following hardware failure. The forums are no longer available, and an explanation[1] was posted in the host's blog on 28 April, 2008, along with a link (now defunct) for downloading the module together with the server's database, initialization files, and server vault.
