To help Amy Rose on her quest, an old professor named Old Man Owl has equipped her with the "Poltergust 3000", a vacuum cleaner used for capturing ghosts, and a "Game Horror", a device used for communicating with Old Man Owl. She also uses it as a map and to examine ghosts.
