There are 13 species of Albatross, and it is estimated that there are 750,000 breeding pairs of these birds in the world. The most common is the Black-browed albatross which is believed to have around 500,000 pairs. The most famous species, the Wandering Albatross is thought to have around 21,000 breeding pairs.
