  • 1) Pages that should be protected: Include the following: Pages that have been repetitively vandalized in the past of present, Pages which attract unwanted spoilers, Pages of the utmost importance, and Other Pages. 1.1) Pages that have been repetitively vandalized in the past of present: Some pages that are the target of vandalism may be protected until further notice. Sysops will usually quickly protect a page that is or has been the target of vandalism, and will usually unprotect them when the vandalism stops. If you notice a page that is the center of vandalism, please contact a Wiki staff member and they will see to it best. 1.2) Pages of the utmost importance: These sorts of pages are very important. The Main Page for example. The Community Portal is another good one. Policies, such as this one. Just very important pages that shouldn't be edited that often, and those that are important to this Wiki. 1.3) Other Pages: All other pages would go here. This pertains to pages members want to be protected, Sysop user pages they protect themselves, etc. 3) Moving page protection: Some pages are protected, not from edits, but from moves. Pages that are protected from edits are usually protected from moves as well, but sysops can also just protect pages from moves. Move page protection is brought upon pages that have no reason to be moved, but can still be edited. Those pages are politically and Bionicle-wise correct, and have no need for a name change. 4) Requests for page protection: Users which see a chronicle they think should be protected, can do so by simply contacting a staff member on their talkpage or using the chronicle's corresponding talkpage. The staff will then decide if he should or should not protect the page, then state his reason if he is to not protect it. 5) Requests for page un-protection: Same principle for rule 3 applies here. Just use the talkpage and state your reason. The staff member will then decide. 6) Arguments about protected pages: Please don't argue with a staff member for their actions concerning protection. The Wiki staff is fully aware of what they are doing, and have good reasons for doing so. If you still doubt their reasoning, comment on their talkpage in an orderly manner. 7) Selfish protections: This is one thing mainly for the Wiki mods to remember, but something for the members as well -- if nothing else, this'll give all the members assurance. Basically this rules states that the Wiki moderators won't abuse their powers (they shouldn't anywhere). Just because you like a certain page, or you want to work in peace on a certain page, you can't just protect it for your own means. Tough. All the other members have to suffer too -- it's a Wiki.
