abstract
| - UIP distributed many of the Star Trek films outside North America in certain (but not all) foreign territories, from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan to Star Trek Nemesis, and helped in the promotion of those releases. UIP is currently responsible for distribution in 20 countries, with the individual studios directly controlling releases in 15 other "key countries", which includes the United States and the United Kingdom. When the Star Trek movie franchise was rebooted in the alternate universe, starting with the 2009 movie Star Trek, UIP continued to distribute these in the territories they oversee.
- UIP also had international theatrical distribution rights to features by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (which included Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and United Artists) when MGM was part of the venture. In 2000, as MGM left UIP, those rights were passed on to 20th Century Fox (owned by News Corporation).

The company formerly distributed DreamWorks releases as well, now these are handled by Touchstone Pictures and Mister Smith Entertainment for live action films, and Fox for animated films from DreamWorks Animation (which was spun off from DreamWorks in 2004, as its own company). The company also formerly distributed Geo LTD. as well, now these are handled by Universal.
