Almost all of the Crocodile Isle is shrouded in fog; a swampland is also found almost everywhere on the island.

  • The Crocodile Isle is an island where King K. Rool and his Kremling Krew live, and a location in the Donkey Kong universe. It is a very calm and friendly place for the Kremlings as well as it is their place of origin, but very dangerous for everyone else. The Crocodile Isle is a dark and gloomy place (in contrast to the Donkey Kong Island or the Northern Kremisphere which are both beautiful paradisal locales). Almost all of the Crocodile Isle is shrouded in fog; a swampland is also found almost everywhere on the island. The coast of Crocodile Isle is almost constantly battered with rough currents, which over the years have bashed several ships on the island's rocky coast or swamped them in the island's bogs. Several parts of the island are volcanic, and the top of the island, where K. Rool's Keep is located, is frozen over. In Donkey Kong 64, a newly constructed Crocodile Isle, also called "Crocodile Rock", appears, now equipped with powerful weapons to aid in the destruction of Donkey Kong Island.

Crocodile Isle is also the home of the Kremlings. At the end of the game, the area sinks underwater and resurrects in Donkey Kong Land 2 then sinks once more. In comparison to Donkey Kong Island and the Northern Kremisphere, Crocodile Isle is a dark and gloomy area infested with swamps, volcanoes and green gassy fumes that pollute the area. Ships have been crashing into this island for years ago and were sometimes sunk underwater. it also has many brambles and Zingers and neighbors Donkey Kong Island. A newly built Crocodile Isle has been built in Donkey Kong 64 with powerful weapons to destroy Donkey Kong Island.

It is in close proximity to Donkey Kong Island, as it can be seen in Gangplank Galleon and K. Rool's Keep (these cameos were removed in the GBA version). After defeating K. Rool in Krocodile Kore, he is launched into the geyser and clogs it up. The Kongs then escape the island before it sinks underwater. K. Rool also happens to escape on a boat, and laughs ominously. Crocodile Isle also reappears in Donkey Kong Land 2, where K. Rool apparently resurfaced it. Not much has changed, except that Crocodile Cauldron and Krem Quay merged together to form Krem Cauldron. After defeating K. Rool again, the island sinks again, this time for good. A remade version also appears in Donkey Kong 64. This version is more mobile and has more weapons.
  • Crocodile Isle is not only the home of the Kremlings, but is also King K. Rool's hideout.
