Vorash was a planet the Tok'ra established a base on. It was the only planet with a breathable atmosphere in the system, and Vorash itself was a desert world. When SG-1 acquired a Ha'tak after they killed Cronus, they planned to move the Tok'ra to a world without a Stargate, intending to take the Vorash Stargate with them. Tanith, however, sent a message to Apophis, who brought his fleet to attack the planet. After this, Jacob and Samantha Carter decided on a different course of action: after dialing P3W-451, they lanuched the Stargate into the sun, causing it to lose some of it's Hydrogen and go supernova. The plan worked, destroying Apophis' fleet, but causing the Tau'ri ha'tak and Apophis' Flagship to travel four million lightyears.

- Vorash (バラモーク Baramōku) is a creature featured in Metroid: Other M. It is a large, fish-like being that inhabits the Lava-filled areas of the Pyrosphere in the BOTTLE SHIP.
- First spotting the sea beast in a Pyrosphere tunnel, Samus Aran followed a Vorash and battled it in an ocean of lava, littered with obsidian platforms. A long time after the confrontation, the two battle again in the Blast Furnace Observation. Samus comes out victorious yet again, and watches as the lava beast sinks into its natural habitat, never to be seen again.

- The Vorash hail from the ash planet known as Jahdir, and accordingly, they have cracked and calluced skin adapted to their environment. The Vorash are a violent race, extremely distrusting of strangers and slow to form alliances. They have become so due to the activation of an ancient Ra-Se-Kael artifact on their home planet that caused a large part of the planets west side to be blasted into space. This has been recorded in their history as "the great sundering". They are extremely militaristic and usually keep their economy alive through martial law.
