James Bracebridge Hilditch (1843-1920) was a silk merchant and local politician in the Richmond area. The son of artist George Hilditch, he was elected to Richmond Vestry in 1884, and to the successor Richmond Borough Cuncil in 1890, serving as Mayor of Richmond in 1899-1900. He was also a justice of the peace and treasurer of the Royal Richmond Hospital.
