He was the Swedish delegate at the 1912-13 IIHF congress (the country would not join the federation until 1920). Georgii returned to his native country with the outbreak of World War I in 1914. Following his return to Sweden, Georgii was selected to play for the Swedish National Team at the 1920 Summer Olympics hockey tournament. He was one of the few players named to the team (along with Hansjacob Mattsson, Nils Molander and David Säfwenberg) who had any experience playing ice hockey - the rest had only played bandy in Sweden. Georgii was named the team captain, but we was unable to make the trip to Antwerp for the tournament after falling seriously ill. He was posthumously inducted into the Swedish Ice Hockey Hall of Fame in 2012.
