| - Dear Elkeye! Today I got a letter in the mail! It was from someone I had never heard of before, saying I oughta visit the city of Thunder Bluff (which I hate, I always think I'll fall down) to come and pick up a Kodo. Can you believe that, Elkeye? My very own Kodo! After a bit of practice, I got the hang of riding and controling that big creature. I've grown to respect her and she's starting to respect me, too. I am kind of scared to tell her I'm actually not a big fan of Kodos - even if our ancestors conquered these lands on them (apparently). I miss you, see you soon, Otcho

Secretly, you see, I've been saving up for a Wolf. You know, the ones Orcs ride on. Wolfs are so much more subtle and gracious and can't be heard from miles away. Alba (that's what I named my Kodo - it's short for Albino because she's white and doesn't like the sun) keeps on knocking things over whenever I run through towns with her. Sometimes, I dream of her falling over the ledge in Thunder Bluff and leaving a giant Kodo-shaped hole in the ground. Poor thing. I still love her though, and will take good care of her. I hope my parents don't ask me to eat this one too. I miss you, see you soon, Otcho
