If he had any interest in playing politics, he would have easily been promoted to High Command by now, but he’s exactly where he wants to be and exactly where the Empire needs him; patrolling the dangerous front lines of Vanduul space, hunting for a foe that’s constantly probing for a weakness, any weakness, to cross that border and fight.

S'il avait le moindre intérêt pour le jeu politique, il aurait facilement été promu Haut-Commandeur depuis le temps, mais il est exactement là où il veut être, où l'empire a besoin de lui ; patrouillant les dangereuses lignes de front de l'espace Vanduul, chassant un adversaire qui cherche une erreur, la moindre erreur pour traverser la frontière et se battre. Ernst Bishop est à la tête de la seconde flotte de l'UEE, et commande un super-croiseur Retribution, le Kruger I. Il s'est récemment fait remarquer dans la vie politique de l'UEE en prononçant un discours appelant à la guerre ouverte contre les Vanduul.
