Vivienne Merrill, also known as Viv, is an unseen character on Cherry Hill. Viv is the mother of Ryan, who she gave birth to after sleeping with Jeremy King. It is known that she worked as a prostitute in Atlanta and met Jeremy after his marriage with Elena Santos, was in the midst of breaking down. Ryan had told Jeremy, that whilst he grew up, he was poorly treated by his mother who could never afford to raise him properly and that his presence interfered with her job very frequently. It is said that Vivienne told him that his father had walked on them before he was born, so she wouldn't have to explain her line of work. After falling sick, Vivienne died and it wasn't until her will reading that Ryan recieved her diary and paperwork detailing the identity of his father.
