Located in south Calgary, Fish Creek Provincial Park is one of the largest provincial parks in Canada located in an urban setting. The park plays host to over three million cyclists, pedestrians, photographers, naturalists and picnickers every year. Fish Creek Provincial Park has developed educational programs for children and adults to explore the natural history of the park. Bow Valley Ranch, an 800 acre tract of land, is also located within Fish Creek Provincial Park. An interpretive centre that shows the history the early settlers in the Bow Valley and the Bow Valley Ranch, is located within Fish Creek Provincial Park. Fish Creek Park is also home to The Ranche, a high-end restaurant.
