Sent from the celestial realm, to aid the Princess once she had attained power from the Great Wound. Guiding her, protecting her, Kitei became the vigil of the Hagoromo Clan and of the future. Revered as the Amatsu Tenmarei (Heavenly Guide 天来). When ascending back to the heavens once his duty was fulfilled, Kitei was called back to the Celestial Knot where it was decided that his connection with the human world and the Hagoromo had ended, and another would take his place, stolen away thanks to the choices of a blood debt paid by the child of the thief-princess, Kaguya herself. Feeling betrayed by the being he had loved most, Kitei waged a challenge against his own friend, vowing to not have his love replaced. However, he was defeated, and his soul remained in the celestial realms. It has been in recent years, that Kitei has once again rejoined the human world, sheathed in varying guises in order to aid the realm of man ascend to the spiritual realm. Bound and eternal by his obsession with the human world, Kitei knows only one destiny, and that is to complete his vision of a world that knows only peace; true and absolute Nirvana.
