The Galactic Federation Starship Daedalus is a Federation ship that appears, wrecked, in Metroid Prime: Federation Force. Prior to M08: Dustoff, it dispatched Pods to collect samples of a Liquid Resource from Excelcion. Later, it was attacked by Space Pirates after it intercepted a data transmission. The ship crashed on Excelcion near an old Federation Military Facility. The crew survived and fled. The Federation Force is tasked in M11: Uplink with defending the Data Uplink within the ship from an onslaught of Space Pirate attacks. The crew is later rescued, and the data is successfully uploaded to the G.F.S. Aegis. It reveals the existence of the Doomseye, a massive battleship that the Pirates have created to attack Galactic Federation Headquarters.
