Face Smashes are moves that can only be used by some of the characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. These moves are known as Face Smashes because the general direction that the attacks would hit in would be where the opponents' face would be, especially for taller characters (such as Captain Falcon or Marth). It is a side smash that can deal slightly more or less damage than the normal side smash. To perform a Face Smash, use a regular side smash, while also tilting the moving stick upwards. Face Smashes are easier to perform when charging the side smash, then moving the moving stick upwards before the side smash is still being charged.
