While holding this position, he was responsible for the development and production of approximately 100 TV-movies and miniseries. In 1998, he became a partner and Co-CEO of Cologne-based production company Zeitsprung, where he produced event productions, TV movies and series. He was one of the Producers for Mircale of Lengede, a two-part television drama about the mining accident in 1963, which has won several awards and is based on a true story. From 2004 until 2009, he took charge of the German Fiction department of Endemol Germany where he was responsible for TV movie and series productions such as "Liebe ohne Rückfahrschein", "Mr. Nanny - Ein Mann für Mama" and the two-part "London, Liebe, Taubenschlag". Sam co-founded and became CEO of Rowboat in January 2010. Since then his company has produced three TV-movies. "A Day for a Miracle" premiered at the Hamburg Filmfestival in 2011. It was broadcast January 18, 2012 on ORF and, with over 1M viewers, the highest rated of the year. On March 5, 2012 it was also successfully broadcast on ZDF with 5.8 M viewers. In Austria, Sam Davis won this year´s ROMY prize for Best Producer for "A Day for a Miracle". The movie was also nominated in the following categories: Best Movie, Best Actor, Best Actress.
