Gelonus was the son of Herakles and brother of Agathyrsus and Skythes. On his way back to Greece after seizing Geryon's cattle, Herakles had his horses stolen by a snake-tailed woman (some say she was Ekhidna) who returned his horses only after he had made love to her. She bore him three sons.
