At some point, he met Jeremy Davison and Jeremy's "sister" and gave them their new identities, allowing them to blend in D.C. Unfortunately, Grotinski presumably outlived his usefulness to the two killers and Michelle took on the task of seducing Grotinski while planning to kill him to stop him from going to the police. While having sex with Michelle, Grotinski's throat was brutally cut, causing him to bleed to death. After his death, Michelle took his eyeballs, intending to frame Marine wife, Laura Rowens for the crime but the NCIS team led by Leroy Jethro Gibbs later caught onto their scheme and arrested the two murderers for the numerous murders including Grotinski's gruesome death.
