He played junior hockey for the Moose Jaw Cubs from 1929 to 1934. After that he played senior hockey in Western Canada until 1943. For one season (1936-37) he played in Europe for the Earls Court Rangers. In 1943-44 he was the player-coach of the Brooklyn Crescents. He also made his NHL debut that year, scoring 2 assists in 9 games. He retired in 1944.
