The Black cuckoo-dove (Turacoena modesta), also known as the slaty cuckoo-dove, is a species of dove in the Columbidae family. It is endemic to East Timor where it occurs on the islands of Timor and Wetar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
