abstract
| - The Bero'a Cohort was a company formed by Bero'a Ly'ghee and her protege, Amai 'Svala, at the request of the Prophet of Trust to hunt down and destroy the Demons of humanity. Officially designated the Cohort of Resolute Sanction, Bero'a recruited its first members from her own Special Operations Lance of Unrelenting Reparation before calling on respected commanders and recruits from different sectors to fill out the ranks. First taking to battle in 2537, the Cohort would serve across numerous Covenant battlefields for the remainder of the Great War. Their missions would vary greatly, as their highly secretive nature led to both assassination missions against priority human targets - particularly Spartans - and internal tasks to quell rebellion. Membership of the Cohort would fluctuate and change somewhat over the years as individuals died or cycled through but the overall size would remain the same till the Schism. In 2552, as the Great War drew to a close, the Schism struck the Covenant. Torn between sides, the Cohort was struck with internal conflicts, leading to the death of several key members and the loss of their original vessel, the Endless Judicator. Managing to fight through the Schism and reassemble themselves, the Cohort would continue to serve with the Swords of Sangheilios in the post-war period, fighting off all remnant and rebel factions within Covenant space before taking on the threat of the Created.
