  • They were hiding out ahead. A group of rogue ninja that fancied themselves supporters of the Akatsuki and their ideals, declaring that they would revitalize the plan of the group of dead lunatics and subjugate the world. They had started with attempting to blackmail the leadership of Kirigakure with the sensitive information held by a few members of their order. That was a big mistake. If they hadn't done that, the council and the Mizukage might've been inclined to let them go hassle a different village all they wanted, but they had threatened the Hidden Mist directly, so they could not be left alone to spread whatever "valuable" information they had. Asura came to a stop, as silent as a shadow, within the trees overlooking their little hideout. It was a shack, but her chakra sense told her that there was a shaft of some kind that led down, as she could sense chakra signatures below the surface of the earth. A few slackers stood guard, apparently not thinking that anyone would come to attack them. They thought they were safe, yet they were wrong. Two arrows found their throats faster than they could blink and the way in was suddenly open for Asura's entrance. She dropped down onto the ground feather-light, making absolutely no noise, and headed for the door, ready to finish this quickly. Fading back into reality, the young shinobi Akari Murakami whose chakra cannot be sensed appeared before the shack. She quickly sized up her surroundings including the two dead guards at her feet. She could tell by just looking at them that they had been killed only a few seconds ago. She allowed the dead guards to steal her attention for only a few seconds before returning her attention back to the shack and her mission. Unlike the girl Akari had seen entering the hideout, Akari was no stranger to missions like these. In the past several years she had taken on and completed thousands of missions just like this one to the point where they were becoming second nature to Akari. This was shown by how easily Akari managed to stealthy enter the shack and jumped down into the hideout. There was no noise, no vibrations, not even a small gust of air welcomed her entrance. It was as if she doesn't exist in the first place. The moment her feet touched the ground she surveyed the area and found the hunter-nin who was right in front of her. Akari didn't say anything. She just stood there and waited to see if she would be noticed. The woman's sense of hearing was stronger than most. Much stronger in fact. She could hear the slight beat of the wings of a butterfly from several hundred kilometers away, and that was when she wasn't concentrating. When she was, no one was safe from her. She could hear the movements of air through lungs, the beating of hearts and the flow of blood within the body of any living target. The only way one would be able to defend against her hearing was if they were dead, ceasing all of these things. That being said, she had an arrow notched and aimed at the girl's head the moment she dropped down after her. Her eyes were covered, by her blindfold, the garment clearly displaying the symbols of Kirigakure and the Land of Water. Deductions whirled through her head and it was a split second before she spoke, her voice hushed to not draw attention. "If you were with these men, you would've been here guarding or at least in the vicinity. You...appeared, so I can only assume that you are not with them. Do not get in my way, and I will allow you to move with me unmolested. Two hunter are better than one, no matter how skilled either are." She quickly turned on her heel and burst into a sudden flash of movement, searching for opponents to kill. The patrolling guards received arrows to their chests, falling silently as they were instantly killed. She continued onwards, alert and ready for any attacks. Akari’s bloodlust was still under control and deadly silent when she appeared in a room not too far in front of the other shinobi. The room had six shinobi in it and not one of them looked at Akari or even seemed to notice. Her complete lack of bloodlust had filled her presence with a sense of belonging, which had blinded and convinced them that she did belong. One second later all six of their bodies dropped silently to the floor and a small, precise, and deep cut on their neck. Akari stepped out of them room with her sword still in hand and bloodlust absent from her presence despite how she had just killed six shinobi in less than a second. The light of the dimly lit passage way reflected off of the crimson blade of her sword and when her arm slightly moved side to side as she walked out it caused the blade to look like it was made of pure energy. Considering what she can do with that sword it might as well be. Her attacks don’t have the title of Absolute Attack for nothing. “How do you suggest we work together,” Akari asked once the shinobi passed the room.
